EDUCATION
- School of Medicine of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki from 2000-2006, Medical degree.
- From 2007 to 2008, Intern at the Pathology Clinic of the Nicosia General Hospital.
SPECIALIZATION
- Dr Malekou went on to do her specialization in Pathology from 2008 until 2013 and attended exams at the Medical School of the University of Crete, where she was awarded the title of specialty in Pathology in February 2013.
- During the specialty as well as afterwards she participated in a multitude of conferences in Cyprus and abroad, with a special interest in Hypertension, Diabetes Mellitus and Osteoporosis.
- She has also attended in the European School of Hypertension in Dublin, as well as the School of the International Osteoporosis Foundation (IOF) with success and was trained in the treatment of patients with eating disorders.
EXPERIENCE
After completing the specialty of Pathology, Dr Malekou worked in the Bank of Cyprus Oncology Centre, from 2013 until 2015. From 2015 until 2019, she worked as a 1st class Medical Officer in a Public Hospital. Since June 2019, she provides her services within the framework of the General Health System at the Nicosia Medical Centre.
